"I don't need much when I come to an Author Visit
but these items make my job easier."
Author
Visit Basic Needs
Each
presentation has its own set up but they are quick and easy.
I can discuss the details when you book an author visit. In every
case, it is helpful to have:
- a small
table
- a chair
- some water
- a clip on hands-free microphone (Even the most durable voice can disappear
without notice.)
Specific
Needs
Tall Tale Talk - 20 feet of free space near my presentation
area for roping “Medium-rare” my
practice bull.
What’s Out There? - A screen, an LCD projector for viewing my PowerPoint
presentation and an expert to hook the LCD to my laptop/docking station, or
an overhead projector for transparencies, a VCR.
Pulling A Story Out Of The Air - A black board & chalk OR a white-erase
board & markers OR an overhead projector & screen OR a flip chart & markers
OR a pocket chart) Also: the students will need to bring one piece of loose-leaf
paper and one sharpened pencil to the presentation.
Math-amania! - Just a cooperative audience
Melanie enjoys speaking to adults too!
